There is an underground water table surrounding your home, and leaks are usually created when this water table rises too high or cannot lower quickly. Inadequately waterproofed basements will usually start to leak when this water table rises higher than the floor of your basement, or if the water gets trapped along the wall of your basement. Water will attempt to pass through the concrete in the floor or walls, and then cause leaks.

The repair is the same for basements that have leaks through the wall-floor joint, floor cracks or block walls. A new and functioning interior drainage system will be installed. This interior drainage collects the water in a pipe that is buried under the floor. There it is channeled to a sump pump which then removes the water from the home.
